Tambaron Island: Mindoro’s Hidden Gem

When you hear the word Mindoro, possibly the first thing that you will think of is Puerto Galera. It is agreeable and in fact the well-known tourist spot in the island which is a favorite place by beachgoers and nightlife chasers. But, there are other many beautiful places you can visit.

Prepare for a 4 to 5 – hour travel down south of Oriental Mindoro to see the hidden paradise of Bulalacao – Tambaron Island. This island is worth the time and effort. It has white sand beaches, rich marine life and lavish forests.

Fortunately, Tambaron Green Beach Resort was able to preserve the beauty of the island. The resort is located in one of the coves. They provide accommodations, food service and island activities.

What to Do

Tambaron Island boasts its calm and beautiful beach and coves. There are many things you can do from beach bumming and snorkeling, you can try kayaking and trekking to get to the other coves in the island and experience bird watching. You may as well visit their mini cattle ranch. For guests who love sports, you can play basketball and beach volleyball.

Your stay in Tambaron will never be complete without witnessing the stunning sunset. Have your phones and cameras ready!

Review

The trip going to Tambaron Island may not be your usual getaway. It would take you
roughly 8 – 9 hours from Manila to Batangas then to Occidental, Mindoro. Tricycles, buses, vans and boats will be your mode of transportation to get the full of Mindoro. But having said that, everything and all the experiences visiting the beautiful Bulalacao are all worth it. It is a perfect escape from the busy city. The island is serene and very relaxing. For the resort, there’s still room for improvement with regard to guest rooms. But still, we had a fun-filled-full-of-adventures stay in Tambaron Green Beach Resort and got to know the people behind the hidden paradise of Tambaron Island. From Kuya Armilito our boat captain and his crew, to Kuya Toto the caretaker and Ate Baby, one of the staff and Aj our point of contact, We Wander PH is grateful for a warm and unique experience. It was a blast! Truly unforgettable.
